Day 3

Another easy day. We started at 8:55 and ended at 11:15. I wonder if I'm doing this right!! We worked so hard this summer, that now I believe he is at the 2nd grade level for math and grammar. Handwriting is better...not great...but better! Reading: We started reading a new Clifford book. He had trouble with the big words. We will work more on that Thursday. Grammar/Phonics was easy for him today. We worked on nouns again. Math......I am looking into doing triple lessons each day. It is just so simple for him. He can do the basic addition and subtraction. We will start working on double and ripple digit problems soon. And last but not least we had Social Studies today where we learned about families and made a family tree.

Today's Lessons:

Handwriting: Worksheet on writing the letter c. ( because his handwriting is sloppy) Then write all the words you know that start with c.
Reading: We took turns reading Chapter 3 of Flat Stanley. Then he read The Big Red Stop Sign.
Grammar/Phonics: Word Flash Cards. Then 3 worksheets on letter families & nouns
Math: Lessons 3,4, & 5 in book.
Social Studies: Learn about families & make a family tree
